“ I hopped off the L train after another day of starving myself so that I can eat at least 2,000 calories at dinner. That's just the way I like to move idk. My destination was Super Pollo in Ridgewood, as it is the most recommended chicken spot in my comments and DMs that I have yet to hit. After 9 stops and a brisk 13 minute walk, I arrived at the promised land. I got this tingly feeling when I saw a Smart Car wrapped in Super Pollo branding. "Super Pollo" was written in bold yellow lettering and there was an animated chicken with "SP" on his chest like a superhero. I'm really not a car guy, but this is my dream whip. Legendary. I walked in and got a table for 1 like a nerd loser, but these chicken reviews tend to be a solitary practice. I feel Van Gogh. I got the half chicken and 2 sides combo ($17) and a side of maduros ($6) for the city. On the surface, this chicken looked like one of the greats. The skin was perfectly golden brown and so crispy. It crackled when I touched it with my fork. However, I got trojan-horsed a bit. The bird itself was just a bit dry. It wasn't so dry where it was killing me, but compared to the greats, it just didn't have the same tender juicy meat. The green sauce was AMAZING and made it to die for, but you must judge a chicken pre sauce. Otherwise we are just judging sauce. It was very well seasoned though and had so much flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal, and it's still in my A-tier ranking for chicken spots. I'm just a rotisserie chicken snob at this point. 8.7/10. “ Food here has been consistently good for years. Savory chicken, love their seafood fry, and all the usual Spanish dishes. Seating is comfortable, but parking is tough, so beware. But it is in a very nice and quaint part of Ridgewood to walk thru on a date. Enjoy ”
“ Grade " A " rating, on a Saturday about 4 pm. Plenty of seating, but street parking is a premium. I believe I heard the " Entire " Aventura CD, music genre was not mixed up ( which would have been better ). The service was quick, the food was delicious and would highly recommend. ”
“ We order takeout from Super Pollo regularly. I always love the rotisserie chicken and the pernil. I'm also a fan of their tres leches cake. We buy their green sauce by the bottle, too. Food comes quickly and is usually nice and hot. I've never eaten inside of the restaurant, so I can't speak to the ambiance. ”

It's a truly satisfying and flavorful meal, well worth it! The rotisserie chicken is exceptionally juicy, and pairing it with a side of salchipapas makes for a perfect combo. “ My buddy and I drove all the way from Oceanside to Ridgewood Queens this past week to surprise my friend on his birthday. We were empted handed so we had the bright idea to pick up dinner from Super Pollo Restaurant. To say we were three happy campers that evening was an understatement. I have never seen the three of us amigos so darn quiet. We were all locked-in on our meals and barely looked up... it's that freaking good! Two of us got the bandeja paisa and one ordered the 1/2 chicken meal. It's been a couple years since I've eaten from Super Pollo but the portions are as generous as I remember. Not only was I the only one to have devoured my entire plate in one sitting but I also had some of my friends leftovers. ”
